Although only a small masjid, we offer a range of services for the muslim community.

Matrimonial Services

The masjid is registered with the London Borough of Waltham Forest as a place of worship and as a place where marriage ceremonies can be officiated.

If you would like your nikah to be conducted at Chingford Masjid, please contact the Imam or a member of the Board of Trustees for further information. We request that you give us as much notice as possible.

NOTE: We only offer nikah services after carrying out checks to confirm that the intention behind the nikah is based upon valid shar’ii reasons. ‘Shotgun weddings’ or ‘elopement weddings’ will not be catered for.

Funeral Service

When family members leave this world, it is an Islamic requirement that the funeral prayer (janazah namaz) is performed and the body buried as quickly as possible. Due to our size, we are unable to offer body washing and storage facilities.

However, we have close relations with Masjid-e-Umer in Walthamstow where this can be performed. Please speak to our Imam or contact Masjid-e-Umer directly:
