Qurbani 2019

“Zaid bin Arqam (رضي الله عنه‎‎) reports that the Companions of Rasulullah (ﷺ) asked him: “O Prophet, what is this sacrifice?” He said: “It is the way of your forefather Ibrahim.”
They asked: “What reward is for us therein?” He replied: “There is a reward for every hair”. They then asked: “For the wool, Ya Rasulullah?” He replied: “There is one reward for every strand of wool.”
– Ahmed and Ibn Majah

The blessed season of Hajj and Eid-ul-Adha is nearly upon us. As in previous years we can arrange for your Qurbani to be performed on your behalf in the following countries at the prices shown below.

  • India – large animal (7 shares) – £100
  • Burma – large animal (7 shares) – £210

(We can only arrange whole animals, not individual shares)

If you would like to arrange this, please speak to Brother Ismail Chapti in the masjid.

Please let us know before 3rd August if you would like to arrange it through the masjid.

Alternatively, you can buy and donate your Qurbani online through reliable charitable organisations such as Ummah Welfare Trust – www.uwt.org

In order for our children to understand the meaning of Eid-ul-Adha and Qurbani, we recommend that once every few years (or sooner if you can afford it) you perform your Qurbani here in the UK. Although the cost to do it here is usually higher than doing it abroad, it’s important that your children experience Qurbani themselves so that the spirit is kept alive for future generations.

Alhamdulillah, there are many places within Waltham Forest that can arrange this with many even being certified by the Halal Monitoring Committee (HMC). The nearest place to the masjid is Eesa Halal Meat who can be contacted on 020 8503 3232

Whichever option you decide on, make the intention in your heart and then place your order as early as possible.

May Allah accept all our Qurbanis.

Ameen
